“An error occurred while attempting to play” on Synology

I already have a server installed on raspberrypi+external hdd and everything still works fine there. However, yesterday I installed another server - this one is on Synology and whenever I try to play a video on the Android app (I tried both Shield and mobile phone) I get the annoying message
An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again
Playing via web app works perfectly.

The attached logs reproduce the error (starts at line ~32040). Any idea what might be going on here and how to deal with this?
