Plex has been running without issue for many months, until the night before last. I was watching some episodes (stored on the Synology System DSM 7.0 - 41890) then went to play the next one, and I received the error message “An error occurred while trying to play this video. Please check you connection and try again.” I thought maybe their was an issue with that file, but went back play many different previously played episodes and all of them generated the same message.
After a reinstall of the app I can still see all my media files, and PLEX recognizes what has been played and what has not been played.
When I connected to PLEX from my Windows (Don’t hate me -
)Desktop all the files play normally without error.
PLEX app on the firestick is 8.22.0.27533 (bdaff3f3),
PLEX Server on Synology is 1.21.0-3744
I have tried removing the app from the firestick (after clearing DATA and CACHE) and reinstall
Checked for updates on Synology, PLEX Server, Firestick. Restarted Router, Checked to make sure no permission changes have occurred on server. I have stopped and started the PLEX Server, as well as a full restart on the Synology.
Other than a full rebuild does anyone have any ideas. I am guessing the issue is not on the PLEX Server… but it is only a guess.
