When trying to play media get "Error - an an error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”

Now for roughly the last 2-3 weeks, when I try to play any content I get the msg “Error - an error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.” I can play the media fine when using any laptop or pc in the house, but when using my MINIX Android 9.0 devices to play the content is when I get this error. I’ve tried different things other people have suggested, such as disabling Audio Passthrough, it doesn’t fix the problem. Can someone please give me some assistance with fixing this.

The version of PLEX player running on the Android 9 device is ver. 8.17.1.25326

For the last few years, I haven’t had any issues with playing any media on my PLEX.

Issue has been solved via this post: Some plex apps now giving error: “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”

Within that post, downloading PLEX 1.23.X, and then performing a “Manual Install” within Package Center on my Synology, also fixed my issue. Interesting how it doesn’t auto update to the most current version of PLEX for the Synology NAS.
