@SHM-Services I’m in the beta program, and my TV hasn’t received an update past 7.30.0.16218. How do I get the lastest Beta pushed to my TV??

I have found that my fire tv cube I can set it to 4.0 for max .264 and I can direct play with good quality.
Adb sideload. Thats what i do on my firetv
So you don’t get the beta pushes either? It’s on their end. I even uninstalled the Beta and reinstalled. Same version!! I don’t know how to do “Adb Sideload” on a Sony TV, nor do I know if that’s possible.
Its possible because i did it on a Sony bravia from a friend. U only need to enable USB debugging and unknown sources. After that u can use also the firetv Tools to upload it to the TV via Ur Smartphone. Easy Fire Tools is the name of the app
I got a direct message from the Plex team. They said beta updates are delayed to Google Play by up to 7 days, because of altered work schedules. I think it’s the Corona Virus. I’ll wait for official update push, don’t wanna break anything while quarantines going around, LOL!!
I have the same error on my android phone and other devices but it only occurs when the quality is set higher than 720p 3MBs while remote streaming. If I switch to local network on my phone it has no problem playing original quality. This was never an issue before, I have plenty of bandwidth and cpu to handle original quality while remote streaming it’s been working for years…

I’m really disappointed with the Plex no response to the customers. Wished that I didn’t get the Lifetime Plex Pass, would jump in on Emby now in a heartbeat
Im getting the same thing now, nothing but problems with plex 
Turn off the new player. That has all the bugs, try that first!
does anyone know how to get the beta version installed for shield? the only beta program i can find is for plex media server for shield not the player…
Post 131 talks about the only Beta program I know to exist.
I’ve tired the beta on a shield and still no joy. With everyone at home I’m getting lots of calls about this - fingers crossed will be fixed soon…

It ficed my issue with shield and firesticks
In my case, only remote users on Android or Amazon Fire TVs experienced this issue.
When I remove the limit on remote streaming, the error is resolved. There was an error in my logs about the bitrate exceeding the limit of 8Mbps (80% of 10Mbps) which prompted me to try removing the limit.
My guess is that the new player isn’t taking the remote streaming limit into account when deciding what quality it wants to stream at.
Disabling the experimental player on Fire TV solved the issue as well.

I dont see how to do that on my android app or on the app on my tv or on roku
It’s under settings>advanced>enable new player.
