I am running PMS on UNRAID but the same issue occurred when running on Win10.
I have a number of music playlists setup (I have tested with multiple playlists).
Before going to sleep I will set a music playlist to random on my CCwGTV device to help with tinnitus. In the past, this would play continuously for days without issue. For the past few weeks, I will wake up after a few hours and the music has stopped.
The message “An error occurred while playing this item” will flash up in the corner of the screen every few seconds. Going to the playlist shows it is cycling through songs and is still in “play” mode. Selecting “stop” will stop the messages showing after around 30 seconds. Sometimes selecting “play” again after this will allow it to work again, stopping after a (random) few hours again. Other times I need to force-stop the app and start it again.
A few times I have been awake at the time when the music stops. It seems to finish the song it is currently playing before the error occurring.
Clearing the cache makes no perceivable difference. The time to fail appears to be random.
The folders containing the music contain .mp3, .flac, .jpg, .avi, .bmp, .bup, .cue, db, .m3u, .m4a, .pdf, .png, .tif, .txt, .vob and a few other miscellaneous files as part of collection albums, etc. I don’t believe these should be affecting the playback as the music library hasn’t changed from when it used to work and plex should only be adding the actual “music” files to the playlists.
I have included logs showing when I started playing the music, to when the error first occurred. I included a second log showing plex starting up and starting the music again after I force-stopped the app.
I should mention also that when running in this errored state for a number of hours, CCwGTV will lockup and reboot after pressing buttons on the remote. So, it looks like the app has a memory leak or something when this happens.
