Can the defect / limitation everyone is experiencing re: music playback via plex clients including but not limited to android-tv clients please be addressed?
my working theory (per: Reddit - Dive into anything), music files are not streamed per se, but are buffered/copied to the client as part of playback, when enough files are copied across and there is no room for the next track in a playlist, the client throws an exception and skips the track with the above error.
This is likely why tracks will be skipped with the same error when attempting playback until a small enough track can be copied across and then it WILL play, also likely why when clearing the cache for the plex app and re-starting music playback, previously failing files will now be playable.
Sure, I can cast from plex amp on my phone to my TVs built in chrome cast and playback seemingly forever without experiencing errors that way, but then im having to reach for another device and missing out on the big screen navigation experience.
Either music playback for android tv clients needs to be changed to properly stream to the client so that buffers dont fill up and cause the exceptions to occur, or plex needs to admit that the typically small amount of on board memory in most smart tvs is not compatible with the way the plex client buffers music and remove the music functionality from android tv clients.
