I have my plex server setup on a Windows 10 machine with different user accounts for each family member. Whenever someone logs off and another person logs in I get the this message on other devices “An insecure media server has been found on your network” and sometimes the server is not accessible on other devices . I have also had a similar issue where it says that the server is unclaimed. Please help. I must have something to do with the Windows 10 accounts.
Whenever a user logs out, the Plex server that runs in this user context is closed.
When another user logs in, a Plex server is started with a completely separate configuration.
You can solve this issue only by disabling autostart of Plex server under each user account.
Then start running Plex server as a Windows system service.
That way it is started as soon as the computer is switched on, no matter which user is logged in - even without a user being logged in.
