Recently I noticed some srt files with \an1 tags. When playing these are showed without conversion.
Suggestions?

I don’t know of any Plex client that supports positioning tags in srt subtitles.

My question is: are an update planed to support this?
Being able to support those tags is up to the video player used by the Plex clients. Plex typically uses the device’s built-in player, and these do not support the tag. It would need update to the underlying video player to support it so that would have to come from the device manufacturer.

Maybe I’m wrong but the plex clients are not developed from plex directly? I use plex for android and ps4
The clients, yes, but the actual part that plays the video, no. This allows Plex to not have to worry about writing and maintaining a video player for every platform. I.e. for Android, it uses the Exoplayer, which is developed by Google.
