What would be the difficulty to implement support for the {\anX} tags into the Plex Players (Web, TV, Roku etc)?
These tags are not supported in the SRT specification.
You might want to convert your subtitle to the ASS format. However by doing so, your server might transoce more often, in order to support those formatting instructions.

But… is this a matter of “srt specification” or “player support” for tags in the SRT text file?
Lots of players, for example, support color tags… Wouldn’t be a case of supporting one more tag?
