An unknown error occurred (4294967283) - Plex for Mac (Contd)

Since the thread was closed I’m reopening this because this keeps happening both to me and family users on mac. This doesn’t happen on TVs, browser, iOS or Android. Just the native Mac app.

Same. I still get this. Easy to reproduce.

Have you tried re installing the app from a download.

I have previously multiple times. I haven’t every new version that comes out since Plex hasn’t mentioned it in their release notes as “fixed”. It happens on both my macs so I don’t think it’s a one off install issue.

The app auto updates.

What I’m saying downloads can be faulty, auto updates or not. To apply a Downloaded version may or may not rectify your issue.

I literally fresh installed macOS. Issue remains.

I even recorded a video of the issue happening, a video of it happening to a friend and even my brother using windows app…

I provided logs, everything. As much info as possible and still ignored.

So Im just going to keep bumping this until it gets acknowledged again… all the info and evidence is on my previous thread in the OP.

It’s unacceptable this doesnt work seamlessly as it should.

Again, this is a desktop issue. Doesnt happen on TVs, Xbox or iOS/ android / android tv

Not done any additional testing as yet but happening several times a day usually after watching a few hour long shows back to back. Have to restart the app.

Same seems to be OK using AppleTV and iPads just the MacOS Desktop.

Same issue on PC. fresh install of Server and application… we need this fixed.

Yeah, there’s a few issues that completely ruin the experience, literal basic issues that I even provided tons of evidence, video, logs etc but it seems they never get fixed ever.

Also getting the same error on Windows 11 error: 4294967283 and 4294967279 when transcoding. Also getting [Req#/Transcode] Denying access due to session lacking permission to transcode key /library/metadata/1709 in the log. Please fix this Plex! There is no problems on my phone app.

Yep! Take a look at my post here. This is obviously an issue and they have not fixed it!
