When I attempt to play live TV on my android tablet the video never finishes loading. The display just shows the spinner. I have Version 1.8.0.4109 media server, version 6.3.2.1332 android app. Recorded video plays on tablet without a hitch.
Get your Android box over to Nougat - Problem solved.
My phone has android 7.0 this did not solve any problems for me. I can’t tune in to live TV at all. I have tried MX player and VLC they both give a cannot play this link/file error. i have plex server 1.8 I just have no idea why it won’t work.
PLEX live TV on android is bogus. It does not exist unless you have the most recent incarnation of Android.
I can play live TV on nearly any platform that has a internet browser with NextPVR. I can play live TV on ROKU with PLEX using a Channel plugin for NextPVR. I can watch programs with commercials skipped in the NextPVR program. When is PLEX going to offer these features?
Works a peach on my Sammy S3 running 4.4.2… so not sure what you are talking about @cwollitz.
Upgrading to latest nauget version resolved for me.
