When using the Plex app to stream from my Plex server, each track buffers for 5-10 seconds before playing (the progress bar counts from 0:00 seconds to 00:01-00:03 before resetting, but no sound is played). This seems to happen ONLY when I’m casting to a Chromecast device (I’ve tried 3 separate ones in 2 different home groups), but not if I use a 3rd-party app to play on my home network (I’ve used HiFi Cast without issue). If I play the music via Bluetooth or directly through my phone’s speaker, I have no problems (the tracks start right away and perform otherwise as expected). It also seems to not occur when playing through the web application on my laptop (but still casting); everything works fine there, as well.
Any ideas of where I can start troubleshooting? Honestly, I only really have to use the Plex app when I’m off my home network (I’m perfectly satisfied with HiFi Cast at home). If I got a recommendation of a third party app that would allow me to access the music on my Plex server off-network, I’d probably just use that.
