Android app: Can't get app past splash screen

Android device: Pixel 7
Android version: 14 (March 5, 2024 Update)

When attempting to open Android app, the app gets permanently stuck on splash screen.

I’ve tried to clear user data for the app, no change. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, no change. Plex seems to be working everywhere else (and it should have lost my user data when I uninstalled), so I don’t think it’s a server issue. Anyone else having this issue?

I just noticed when I try to access app.plex.tv from Chrome on this device, it freezes and I get the dialog that Chrome is not responding. I assume the Plex app uses Chrome in some way so maybe this is related?

I can also access Plex in Chrome directly by going to serverIp:serverPort, seems the freezing is related to app.plex.tv only.
