on Android 11 the app does not start. Only the Plex logo/Animation is displayed. So before the login screen …
How to reach the developers so they can help you or maybe can help here? Or fix it for others if necessary.
The app is reinstalled and also already cache/data cleared.
If any info is still missing/needed, just let me know and I’ll be happy to supply it.
Does anyone else have this problem? Surely there is already someone who has Android 11 or maybe already 12 and uses Plex.
Is otherwise somewhat unsatisfactory as a new Plex Pass user that the APP does not work.
Any ideas why this is the case?
Other Plex apps like Dash, AMP work incl login …

The same situation.
App Data/Cache cleared.
Click on the App, Plex Logo/Animation is showing and than nothing, I see the Plex Logo and no more Loading, Login Screen or so.
Anywhere a Idea or the same Problem?
On another Device with a older Android its working. On Android TV/Nvidia ShieldTV its working to inclusive Plex Media Server.

I am having the same issue.
App version: 8.30.1.31022
Server version: 1.25.6.5577
Application gets stuck on the load screen:
Tried restarting phone, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling app to no avail.
Android 11
Last update was on Jan 1, 2022 and it was working for me until very recently. Nothing in the phone has changed.

I had exactly the same issue… Endless loop of the plex logo.
What worked for me was to deinstall and install plex on my mobile device…
Now plex is “working”…
…unfortunately you will now visit the next threads, because by installing plex you will loose your downloaded movies or series which currently can’t be downloaded again…
@ipConfiger Do you have reinstall the Plex App on your Handy/Mobile Device? Deinstall and install from the PlayStore?
I tried again with Version 8.31.2.31546.

@ipConfiger No, this is my PlayStore Version. I’m probably in an earlier wave, since the updates are distributed in waves.
New Major/Version, no changes, same Issue with Version 9.0.0.31676.
Same with Version 9.0.4.31825.
Again Version 9.0.5.31871.
Anyone need Logs or so for helping by fixing this issue by many others too?
Having a similar issue but it’s not just the Android client hanging 100% at the Plex splash screen; I also have my Android Edge Plex session saved as an app on my phone and it started having the same issue (stuck on splash screen) at the same time as my Android Plex client. My XBox client is working fine however.
I think it has something to do with authenticating against plex.tv itself.
When I have time I’ll try to capture what’s happening with Fiddler to see where it’s failing/getting stuck.
Before I got a chance to check the network traffic I had to reboot my phone, and wouldn’t you know it…when I launched the Android Plex app now it sent me to login again (for the first time in… forever. And as soon as I signed in, not only is the Android app working again, but my pinned browser session is also working fine.
Can’t say with 100% confidence but smells like some kind of unhandled token issue on the client side.
Will watch for the next time this happens and try to debug it a bit.

Did you try rebooting your phone and try to reopen the app to see if you get reprompted for your sign in credentials?
