I found out that downloads are not working and I can’t find them in the android app. Also my old windows 8.1 server was gone and I can’t use from android app.
any thoughts?

Downloads seem to be working — given the current restrictions of no downloading of tv shows (only seasons and episodes) and no option to download the next X unwatched items.
Which version of PMS do you have installed on that Windows 8 machine?
The new Plex app on mobile requires a recent version of PMS. I’m not sure Windows 8 is supporting that newer version of PMS (given Windows 8 itself has been out of support by Microsoft since early 2023)
Edit: found it… Windows 8 only supports versions of PMS older than version 1.32.0 which was released 2 years ago. The current public release of PMS is version 1.41.6.
The new mobile apps require PMS version 1.41.2.

you are right I need to upgrade to earlier windows server.
in another windows 10 device that keeps working, with the old UI when I want to download a season you can decide resolution, and how many episodes you want to download, … In this moment, it just started to download the whole season.
there is a way to change this behaviour?
The mobile apps have an option to configure your preferences in Settings > Downloads:
- Restrict Plex to only download while connected to a WiFi (no downloads via cellular data)
- Quality preference (original, high, medium, low)
- Limit how much space Plex is allowed to use on your device for downloads.
These settings are also available in the Downloads section (next to the Completed and In progress sections).
and is there any option to download only unwatched episodes and limit them to 15 or 20 episodes?
