Just read this again and feel it’s not complete/misleading. Of course you can enable delete and start deleting files. But that wasn’t what I meant to say. For those who read this thread. I would like to elaborate on this a bit more.
Specifically
You can enable the option remotely then you have the ability to delete remotely.
I still feel we need a stricter policy when connecting via the hosted plex.tv PlexWeb interface.

I don’t see a crippling/dire need to allow that option to be toggled remotely. If you are vacationing and need to delete something then wait til you come back from your vacation trip.
I know I’m not gonna change minds here but I just don’t like the fact that;
- Allow media deletion is enabled by default
- Allow media deletion can be enabled remotely
- Allow media deletion can delete files remotely
Heck! I’d be happy if ITEM#2 was changed!!! That would make it so much more secure. And for those people who need it, then they can just enable the option at home. Once set, always set… They can go on their vacation knowing they can delete.
