I’m ticked off. I purchased the one time purchase not once but twice and again the app won’t activate. I’m tired of this activation BS. I’m considering switching to jellyfin for all my hosting needs because I’m tired of the slow and lack of support. Plex used to be cool until they decided to paywall everything.
The activation is not bound to your Plex account.
It is bound to the user account that you are using in the app store.
Competing app stores don’t communicate with each other who bought what (why would they?) Which means your purchase is only valid in that one app store.
Which means if you e.g. bought it on Google Play Store, it won’t be valid on an Amazon device nor on an Apple device. And vice versa.
So make double sure that you are using the same app store, using the same user account.
