Android app login issue

Hello I am here because I am out of options. I am trying to log into my android app and it is stuck in an endless login loop. I click login it takes me to the web browser I log in use my 2fa then it brings me back to the sign in page again.

Troubleshooting methods

I have tried reinstalling

I have tried clearing data and cache

I have tried switching web browsers

I have tried with or without vpn

I have tried clearing history

Tried logging into the web first which works but not the app

I have tried updating the app

I have tried updating the os

Tablet model Samsung galaxy s7 running android 13

It works perfectly fine on my Galaxy s24 ultra with the latest updates

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Same issue here. Plex is unusable at the moment. Canceling if not resolved asap.

I fixed it by formatting the tablet

I have the same problem, and I can’t format my tablet (as I already installed a custom Android on it)

It is not possible to get app logs (as I can’t access the app settings), so here are the data I can share:

Tablet

  • Galaxy Tab S7 (SM-T870)
  • Android 15
    • e/OS 3.3-a15-20251212556760-community-gts7lwifi
    • microG 0.03.10

Plex app

  • v 2025.31.1
  • com.plexapp.android
  • all authorizations granted

I was able to fix it on my device by turning off “Don’t keep activities” in Dev options, detailed below:

Settings > System > Developer options > Don’t Keep Activities. Make sure it is OFF!

My device was killing Plex’s background processes when it sent me to web to sign in.
