Android App on remote plays really fast

Just upgraded to Lifetime Pass, as my older Chromecast was stuttering on playback - upgraded transcoding looks like it fixed it. Though attempting to watch the same video via remote access, the playback is really fast. Connecting locally with the same app playback is fine.

Any ideas?

UPDATE:
I have discovered that the problem is resolved by turning off ‘Auto Adjust Quality’ on the Android Plex app (using a Pixel 4), I have Hardware acceleration turned on for NAS (Synology DS418play)
