Android app stops playing back video after about a minute

I have a large number of family video files (mostly avi and mp4) on a Synology DS1821+ server, that I’m trying to stream via Plex to family members on their Android devices. However the videos stop playing after about a minute. The problem doesn’t exist when playing back on our LG TV’s Plex app, so it must be something to do with the Android app.

The playback just stops and it’s necessary to restart it. Although it restarts from where it left off, it then stops playing again a minute later. There are no frames being dropped and we have Wifi 6 so I don’t think it’s a bandwidth issue.

Can anyone suggest how I might narrow it down or is this a known bug in the Android app?
