Latest Android beta crashes consistently if I have any synced music. This happened with the beta version just before this one too. Seems to be a new issue.
If I clear all app data and login again it seems to work fine. The minute I sync any music, the app crashes when initially opening it at that point.

Every time I try to start my plex app on my tablet since 2-3 days, I have the splash screen going from the X too PLEX crashing (at PLX) and the app disapears…

I don’t know about synched music, but my phone often crashes when syncing videos.
It doesn’t crash while syncing, it crashes when having synced music.
If I wipe the app completely and login, it functions as it normally does. The minute I select to sync music, it will sync it (or so it looks like it) and after exiting the app and reopening, it crashes shortly after getting the splash screen.
I’ve tested multiple things related to this crash. I could have one song synced or 100 and it still crashes.
The latest Android update seems to have solved this issue.
No, updating is not a solution. Devices like the Huawei MediaPad M3 are not getting any updates anymore and are therefore Stuck on Android 7.
Since 8.8.0.21200 and further up, the app keeps crashing on start like described by YvonLeFou above.
It was perfectly fine in 8.7.2.20952.
I’m a Plex Pass subscriber. My Media Pad M3 works fine with all other apps, can Plex please indicate how they will go about replacing my tablet with one of equal of higher quality which their app will support?
