Player Version#: Android 8.18.2 (nvidia-shield)
Steps:
- Launch the plex app on your nvidia shield and select the home screen. On my home hub I have continue watching, recently added movies and recently added tv in that order and NOTHING ELSE.
- Now on your plex server add a TV episode and/or movie.
- Scan the library and ensure its reflected on your home hub via the web ui client (not android app).
- Now, go back to your plex android app on your shield.
Bug:
No matter what you do they will not show up on the home hub. It only shows the episodes / movies in recently added which was there BEFORE adding new content. Switching to other views and even going into the library (where they appear) and going back to the home hub does not get them to show up. I have waited up to two hours after new content was added and they never show up.
Workaround:
Completely exit the plex app (aka kill the app). On the shield it runs in the background so you have to kill it and ensure its dead. Once killed, then restart the plex app and they immediately show the new content on the home hub.
The problem is likely some refresh on the home hub panels not getting up to date content from the server. Its likely using a old cache.
NOTE: THIS ISSUE ONLY HAPPENS ON THE HOME HUB AND NOT WITHIN LIBRARIES!
