Hi all,
I am having an issue with android based streaming devices. I am unable to get any media to play remotely using the Plex app, even music will not work. (I am not sure if relevant but there is no issues with Plexamp).
I get the following sort of error popup when attempting to play.
Error
An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.
I have this issue on multiple android mobile devices including a Sony Bravia android TV. It is only the apps that are having issues. Streaming via the web browser on the devices works fine. So I know the devices can handle the stream and that the server can figure out appropriate transcode settings.
Apparently according to the logs it is unable to find the custom certificate. However I know this can’t be right because other non-android devices work fine remotely and with a secure connection. E.g. iOS and the Windows Plex apps
