Android Downloads Testing Volunteer Sign-Up

While our Mobile Sync feature works great for a lot of users, we know that not everyone has always had the smoothest experience. As we’ve hinted in the past, our teams have been working hard for quite a while on improved syncing/downloading functionality for our mobile apps. The core is the same type of robust Downloads feature as is currently found in the Windows and macOS “desktop” apps. This is a much newer technology than what the existing Mobile Sync uses and it’s designed to be more reliable and to provide a smoother experience.

We’ve been using it ourselves internally as well as doing extensive testing with it, but we’re also interested in getting a broader base of “real world” testing/use from users. We also want to gather feedback about it, to help make sure we can take a look at rough edges or unexpected issues that might be found.

With that in mind, we’ll be running some closed testing for a period. The initial testing will be for our mobile Android app. We hope to offer similar testing for the iOS app soon, once it’s ready. As noted, this will be a closed test and we will be selecting a limited number of users to participate.

If you’re interested in helping test the new Downloads functionality and in providing constructive feedback, please fill out the following Google Form:
