Have not use Plex Sync feature for ages as was not travelling at all due to COVID. Now that travelling is possible again, cannot sync anymore.
“There was an error downloading this file” or some other errors popping up.
Does this have anything to do with Sync been replaced by Download? I had Lifetime Plex Pass for ages (don’t even remember when I got it).
From what I read … Clients now need Plex Pass to use new “Download” feature … does this mean I have to get separate Plex Pass for mine and my family mobile devices?
There’s been an update about known issues with the new download feature. Many of those have in the meantime been addressed.
General troubleshooting:
Make sure there’s no leftover sync jobs in the app (clear any existing download items/jobs, disable the new download feature, clear any leftover sync jobs, switch on the new download feature
From what I understand that’ll depend. If your family members are managed users under your own account, they should not need their own Plex Pass. For a full-fledged regular account, they apparently need one.
