I used to use the feature where I would ask the Android Google Assistant to search Plex for a particular term. For example I might say, “search plex for various artists”, and the assistant would open Plex and the search term would be submitted.
This isn’t working for me anymore, and I assume it is as a result of a recent software update. It still opens Plex and goes to search, but does not populate my search term or execute the search. Has anyone else used this feature in the past, and can confirm that this now broken?
I can confirm its the same for me too. If I say the name of a movie there’s a button to play it on Plex, but it just opens the app and nothing else. If I say to play movie on Plex it says ok opening Plex but nothing happens.
I just wanted to update that this was fixed in 8.3.1, but is now broken again after the 8.4 update. When you say a title of a movie that’s in plex, the button doesn’t even show up. And if you ask to directly play the movie in plex, google assistant can’t find it.
