Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685
Player Version#: 2025.15.0 (Android and iOS)
I ran the Plex platform-specific app on several platforms, as well as the *web client on each platform where a browser was available. In each case, I log in using my admin ID where I have access to the full set of libraries. Here are the results:
*The web client provided by my Plex server 1.41.6.9685 is 4.145.1
The Android and iOS app v25.15.0 fail to display the full set of libraries available.
The Plex web client (4.145.1) running on various browsers (Brave/Chrome/Firefox/DuckDuckGo/Safari) who were in turn running on (Linux, Android, iOS) display all available libraries.
The FireTV app v6580005.1 running on FireOS 8.1.3.6 displays all available libraries.
The Plex for LG app v5.91.0 running on WebOS 6.5.0 displays all available libraries.
My conclusion is that something is wrong with the Android and iOS v2025.15.0 app.
Yes, the missing libraries are all music, so that tracks, thank you.
This begs the question, what media player option is being developed for the FireTV and WebOS platforms? I assume once the Plex app is updated to the new experience on those platforms they will also lose access to music and photos via Plex.
Nobody knows for sure right now, as far as I am aware. It’s cause a good bit of consternation on the forums recently. Hopefully they come up with something for music and photos on big screen platforms.
