It’s wonderful to see the ‘Jump to letter’ UI component in the Android mobile 7.27.0.14941-beta implemented. However, in terms of usability, I find the implementation of the slider for Plex Photos ergonomically a little more friendly. Refer to this beta topic for more information. The screenshot from that topic, I’ve included below.
I offer the following feedback:
It’s not about the ‘ruler’ that you see along the right side in the image above, or the first-letter bubble in the first image. It’s more about the shape (and surface area) of the slider. The shape of the slider for Plex Photos makes it easier to grab and slide with the thumb on the right hand. The narrowness of the slider for Movies/Shows/Music makes it a little more awkward to do so, particularly for southpaws like myself.
You may have your reasons for maintaining the status quo. I offer the feedback purely from a ‘look and feel’ perspective.
