Android Plex app cannot control player (but when using the web client on the same device it works)

Server Version#: 4.159.0 on windows
Player Version#: version 2026.12.0 on phone, bedroom 10.30.8.4222 on Nvidia shield

I cannot control my Nvidia Shield Plex client (not server) from my Plex app on Pixel 8 Pro. When clicking the cast button only cast enabled players show but if I use the web client I can and I can also control it via web on my computer.

I’ve tried removing am re-installing the app but it didn’t work. All listed permissions is granted.
