Plexamp cast target: Plex for Android TV

I noticed my Nvidia Shield showed up as a casting target in Plexamp. There were two options for the Shield, one a Google Cast target (which works with all the Chromecast limitations - no fades levelling etc) and one for Plex for Android TV (which failed with a “could not connect to player”)

I would love to cast directly to the Plex client on the shield since it does support fades and volume levelling. Any way to make that happen?

unfortunately there’s a long-standing bug in the Plex app’s http server which makes it unreliable to cast to. we’re looking into a few things.
