Android Plex client cannot play synced content while offline

I’m using the plex client on android (6.12.0.3239) and I can sync and play synced content while online without any issues. However, if I go into airplane mode, the client cannot play synced/offline content. Specifically the client tells me it is in offline mode and can only play “Local and synced content”, but displays nothing at all even though I have many videos synced for offline use. This happens when the client uses either internal or external storage.

Kind of makes the whole synced content feature useless…

does the item appear under settings>sync does the media is visible ?

Yes. it shows 100% complete and I can select do play the downloaded version (which also works).
When I tested with the Windows 10 app it works as expected.

Also, this was tested across two different Android devices, tested with internal vs external storage, and tested with various video quality. All show the exact same behavior. :frowning:

Very interesting. The client (same version) on a Kindle Fire tablet works correctly. i.e. I go into airplane mode and switch to my “local and synced” content. When I select the hamburger menu (top left) I see the name of the library from which I synced content.

This entry is missing when running from a different Android tablet running 7.0 and a phone running 8.1.
