I use Amazon Fire TV 4k Max streamer with my JVC projector. Like many projectors my JVC takes 10 to 15 seconds before the picture returns after a change of Refresh Rate (60Hz to 24Hz etc).
Most Plex apps now have an option to set a ‘Refresh Rate Switching Delay’ but this is not an option in the Android Plex TV player.
I am using latest version of the Plex app on the Amazon store (v9.29 I think).
Any reason why and if this might change anytome soon.
it is in the current beta 9.30 but I do not have a exact ETA on release
i don’t believe an extra long delay like 10 or 15 seconds is an option for any app though. the options are None, 1, 3 or 5 seconds

Shame Plex don’t let a custom value to be entered in addition to (or instead of) the presets as for many projectors 5 seconds will not be long enough. I am of course aware that projectors are not that common but neither are they very rare.
Interestingly on the Plex HTPC app it allows 1,3,5,7,10 seconds and yet it is the streaming sticks (Fire, Roku etc) that I would think are most commonly used with projectors.
PS Otherwise I love the Plex app!
