Android status bar won't go away

Since the new app update, the Android status bar no longer disappears while I’m watching content on my phone. I had no issues with the previous stable release, but now that both the Preview and Stable versions share the same UI, the problem occurs on both.

I’m on 2025.15.0 on Plex Experience Beta (android) and I can’t reproduce this. Perhaps a screenshot would help, so the devs can see what you’re seeing. Also need your version number.

That is a rather Old version 2025.12.0

That’s the preview version I get from the Play Store.
The stable (non-preview) version I’m getting is 2025.14.0, but it has the same issue.

I have the same issue. Rolling back the older version works fine again. this is really distracting.

I have attached two images. The new version with the problem and then the ok version using the older Plex.

Only the older version of Plex worked, this is the current latest version from the play store with the bug
