you are not alone, im having similar problems, in addition subtitles are seeming to be broken.

Nvidia Shield cant playback Subtitles since last Update

Server Version#: 1.32.5.7349 Player Version#: 9.29.0.3217 (6c7fa64) Hi there, since the last Player Update im not able to play media on my nvidia shield. I have no problems on an iPhone 12, FireTV 4k Max or a Windows PC. The Problem seems to be subtitle related, i can play many videos if im not using subtitles. I have reproduced this behaviour with srt and pgs subtitles. Some videos even don’t have sound if i disable subtitles. Nvidia Shield and the Windows PC are Gigabit wired. The FireT…
