Hi all,
Ran into a new issue tonight that wasn’t there yesterday - my NVidia Shield (2019) can’t seem to direct play anything from my server anymore, regardless of whether it’s h264, hevc, etc., I get the same transcoding reason:
Codec (h264) not supported in Container (mkv)
Direct play works on my native TV app, phone, other devices for the same media. Just not the Shield.

As best I can tell, Direct Play is not disabled anywhere (quality is set to maximum) and there doesn’t appear to be a “force direct play” option in the Shield TV app.
It seems to be tied to the BETA version of the plex app on the Shield.
I dropped out of the Beta program and installed the public version, and the issue went away
I suddenly have the same issue in my Android box.
Yesterday night everything played fine, but since today morning I cannot play almost anything,
As far as I know I’m not in the beta program.
So why am I affected?
