I have been having an issue that seems to have started a couple of months ago so came of the beta but have tracked the issue back to the new video player in the Android TV (Nvidia Shield 2015 running via HDMI to a AVR) player.
So the issue I go to play a video and sometimes (not everytime) I get a blank screen, if I bring up the navigation bar and press pause and then play the video will start but the sound will be out of sync. I have to wait for the video play for about a minute then stop then resume. The reason for waiting a minute is that when I resume the video I can continue from where I left off and the video is perfectly back in sync.
It is very random, doesn’t happen all the time, I have switched back to the regular video player and the problem does not occur. Is this is a known issue? I had a browse through other topics but couldn’t see anyone else raising it.
I haven’t observed this on my 2017 Shield in the bedroom which is connected via HDMI to a TV no AVR.
