Android tv - Double Episodes Play twice on Autoplay

The basic principle here is that when playing episodes that span two virtual episodes (S01E1-E2) on Android the player plays the episode twice because it goes from episode 1 to episode 2 in autoplay. On TVOS, the player works correctly and goes from episode 1 to 3 in autoplay. This is a problem that has long plagued plex, but the fact that all plays now mark both episodes as played and only on android (as far as i can tell) autoplay makes a mistake means i think that this has become a bug instead of a feature request.

Here is Android TV on 8.25.1.28703 on a nvidia shield

Notice it goes from 1 - 2 - this episode is named Paw Patrol - S01E01-E02 - Pups and the Kitty-tastrophe & Pups Save a Train.mkv and when the first episode is played and completes it marks both episodes watched like it should

Here the behavior is correct - seeing as the episode is episodes 1 and 2 it jumps to episode 3

Please fix this behavior so my kids don’t go insane :wink:

Known issue.

Been working with the team to find a solution to how the App accounts for episodes and how PMS accounts for episodes – which is different.

Understood - is the apple tv app considered to be the state you want the android app to get to?

Did the AppleTV team resolve it on their side already ?

Last I noticed it worked correctly on ATV.
