I fired up my Mi Box that sits in our guest room and I was astonished to see that the Plex channel on the Android TV home screen was showing movie COVERS and not just the background art thumbnail.
I like this view much better to browse through titles while on the home screen. You can see more movies at once and you can normally tell which movie it is by its cover without hovering over it.
Here is the home screen channel I would love, and it seems that it WAS possible at some point. Would be nice to have Recently Added on your home screen in Movie Poster view. This is app v6.17.0.47.40
If you update to the current app (screenshot from ShieldTV), it displays with just background images as thumbs on the ATV home screen. This takes up a lot of space and depending on the show or movie, is hard to tell what movie it is until you navigate over to it.
Anyone know if there is a way I can make it look like this myself? I highly doubt it, but figure I’d ask.
