I have eight libraries and two are pinned to the sidebar. On the web, everything is sorted alphabetically; however, on Android & Android TV they are sorted as follows:
Standup [Type:Movies]
Documentaries [Movies]
Stand-Up Shows [TV]
Shows [TV] (this one is pinned as well)
Tunes [Music]
TV Documentaries [TV]
Films [Movies] (this one is also pinned).
Sports [TV]
Any ideas on why it’s sorted that way and if i can’t customize it how would i get it to alpha sort?
Pinned libraries are in the order they are Pinned. You can move to the left of the pinned library name select the menu with the three dots then select Reorder to move that library.
There seems to be a bug where you can’t move one below the bottom library but you can move that one up.
hi, sorry if i was unclear - the pinned libraries are not the problem - these 8 are all of my libraries and only Shows and Films are pinned. You see this problem when selecting “More” and viewing the full list of libraries.
Oh ok. They seemed to be ordered by the ID number of the library on Android. There is no way to change the ID numbers or otherwise reorder that. I’ll make a report for it. Not sure why that app was set differently but guessing just an oversight.
cool… i’m happy to send you logs - so let me know if you’d like those.
just fyi - Stand-up was definitely not the first library i created so i’m still kind of surprised to see it at the top if that’s tied to ID #. FWIW - in the web app - they are sorted alphabetically. Also, on the android tv version - whenever a library is updated w/ new content - i have to restart the app for those new episodes/movies to appear in the android version.
I might be wrong but regardless of what it is doing now I have made a report for the Android team to ask them to make it alphabetical like every other app
Yeah it caches things to aggressively I think. you might try going to a different screen like opening up another library then back to home screen and it usually updates the page.
