I have just purchased a new Television. I ensure the device had Android TV as I assumed the Plex app would be universal across the android Tv product range to limit any issues.
However I am getting a playback error message when trying to play lots of video files from Plex via Android TV. To confess the only reason I purchased the TV was to use my Plex library without connecting a device via HDMI.
I am quite disappointed and any advice would be greatly appreciated. The TV is running the latest OS and I only installed Plex today so it’s the latest version on the Android TV store.
One thing to note the TV has built in chrome cast so if I use my mobile device or iPad I can perfect cast the the Tv. However I wanted to use the native app without requiring the need to cast from a device.
