While sitting on my couch watching Plex, if I come across a show that won’t play due to incompatibility (looking at you EAC3/Sonos), I have to create an optimized version to play it as the automatic transcoding doesn’t seem to kick in. But in order to do this, I either need to go to my office to use my PC/web interface, or do so from my phone’s browser on a tiny screen in a web gui that isn’t mobile optimized. Can’t there just be a menu option to ‘optimize for tv’ for the current show/series we’re in on the TV client itself? And perhaps an optimized version progress bar so that you know when it completes?
