The preroll feature doesn’t work properly on Android TV. The movie starts playing first and THEN the preroll plays. Sometimes it only happens for a split second, sometimes it plays for 2 seconds. This causes the TV to enter HDR mode when watching HDR content and then back to SDR to play the preroll. It not only ruins the immersion of the preroll watching the movie start playing and then it stops and plays the preroll, but it also causes everything to load longer if you’re watching high bitrate media because the player needs to download a ton of data quickly from the high bitrate movie and then get rid of all of that information and then load the preroll. On the desktop app or even on my Android phone the preroll loads/plays before it attempts to play the movie. This is how it should work on the Android TV app, but it doesn’t for some reason.
