FYI, this is all strictly on the LAN. Plex Android-TV client has difficulty advancing to the next show. For example while playing show1 if I go to show2 I get “an error occurred while attempting to play this video.” This also occurs when auto advancing on the conclusion of the first video. This only occurs while advancing. Playing the videos straight from the menu works as expected. So the videos are easily playable without error when not directly switching from one video to the next. The advancement issue does not occur on Roku or AppleTV clients. I can not tell you if this is a new issue as I just started with this service and android TV (I am not a newbie, I’ve been a Plex Pass member for over a decade on other devices.)
I have two android boxes, and both boxes encounter this problem. One is connected wifi (6) and one is ethernet (gigabit).
Server is on an Intel® Core™ i5-7400 Processor, 32GB memory, all system, program and video files running off of SSD drives. Internet is 100Mbs but usually clocks in at 117Mbs.
Yes I have done all the standard troubleshooting (I’ve been a professional computer consultant for 35 years). Rebooted both the server and clients (many times). Reinstalled (fresh) both the clients. Rebuilt the entire Plex Server database libraries.
[edit] Issue reproduceable 80% of the time. Sometimes an advancement will work. But that is an exception.
