All video playback apps and even PlexWeb prevent screen dimming when playback is active, but not the new (web-based) PMP 1.2.0.481-b45bbf24 on Mac.
I used to dread updates to PMS because they would break things which worked before, now the client apps are plagued by the same issues.
Same for me running the most recent update on RasPlex through Samsung smart hub. Switching back to another HDMI port, and then back again brightens things up for a few seconds. This is happening during playback or even when browsing through menu options. This seems to be a recent issue, since I just upgraded after a long period of not using.
I realize that with the Chinese New Lunar Year coming up, it’s a shared opinion here that there’re bigger issues with PMP on Mac, PMP in general, Plex and its development in general and, well, life, but the lack of confirmation that this has been escalated to the dev team is disheartening.
