An annoying add keeps coming up.
I close it but it keeps coming up.
How do I stop it.

AFAIK, there are no pop-ups in Plex.
Please make a screenshot next time you see one.
A note about on which kind of device you are seeing this would be useful.
Are you local to the server you’re trying to access? (Your own server, on the same network?)
And what client device are you using (Android, Apple, Roku, etc…
Ah, that is not an ad (not in the way most of us would call it). Plex made the decision months (year?) ago to make watching content on people’s personal media servers require paying Plex something if you are outside the house from the server - AKA “Remote”. If your server is within your own house, then it’s likely an IP-related issue, such as watching on a wireless device while the server is wired in - Often, wireless routers will put wi-fi traffic on a different “network” or “subnet” from the rest of the wired network, which Plex mistakes as being “remote”.
Check that your laptop/browser has local network access: Important note about the Plex Web app - Local Network Access
Also, consider using the desktop app vs a browser: https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/?cat=plex+desktop&plat=windows#plex-app
I use Yahoo as my browser. I load Plex from my favorites window. I sometimes load Plex from MSN which automatically comes up when I start the computer. The add for Remote subscription only comes up when I try to load a movie. I cancel the add but it comes back up when I try to load the movie again. Since I’ve contacted Plex and this forum the add has disappeared. I thank you and Plex for solving this issue. I did try it on the trial bases and found it not useful since my laptop server needs to be on all the time. I thought I cancelled it but was billed and that created another problem. I truly enjoy Plex and use it on my home network. Again, thank you for your assistance to this issue.
Don’t hesitate to ask here if you ever need help again. I agree with what someone else said. I recommend you install the Plex Desktop app on every computer you use to watch movies. Tell us if you cannot find it, but it’s available in the Microsoft Store.
Are all your movies on the laptop? Do you watch them on the laptop too?
