No, thank you. Really do appreciate it. Have been trying to get anyone’s attention on this stuff for well over a year. Honestly, thank you.

So have been getting the “check connection” error with some downloaded items and have been paying attention to commons. It appears to be if you the download gets interrupted (loss of data signal/wifi, etc) when the app tries to restart the download, the file is corrupt every time and gives a connection error.

I’m still looking into that. I’m not able to reproduce this. I turn my wifi off/on repeatedly to imitate a bad connection, even tried from a location where I get 1 bar, and the download resumed correctly when it could. Otherwise it starts over which is the expected behavior.

Do you use a VPN or reverse proxy or a physical firewall that may be affecting the transmission?

Mo. Dont use any of those. I have always had issues with poor data signal issues om the android app. I dont think it is device related because this has continued from a Note 8 to a Note 10+ and now on a Fold 3.

BTW, we identified the issue with the watched status not updating properly. The fix should make it into the client eventually.

Latest updates. Server still not marking watched download episodes as finished. Also have this log for when trying to watch a downloaded episode. Get a an error refrencing the inability to reach the phones external storage. This is a Z Fold 3 and doesnt have a slot for microSD card.

Just a heads up. A few uodates ago, it apprars they may have fixed the finished download episodes not being marked as finished on the server. Appreciate it. Still have issues with items in library not being selectable unless i turn it to landscape or vice versa, and stoll getting certain downloads not play because of the inability to access external storage (this is a Samsung Fold 3, there is no external storage).

Hmm. Haven’t seen that in a while, thought it was fixed. Can you get me a log for this? Let me know what you were trying to play.

The first video is what happens on a Samsung Fold when you flip from landscape to portrait or vide versa. The items in the library become unselectable until you flip flop the phone again.

The second video is what happens no matter what with the scroll bar in a library. Whe. You drag down to where you want, when you let go, it scrolls right back to the very top of the library.

In both videos you can see the circles on the screen are my screen touches. The “external storage” issue with downloads, i will get a log for when it ahppens again. Thanks for all the help again.

If yku need anything ever tested, even unrelated to any of this, let me know. Im more than glad to help tedt and give data to the developers to get this thing on track. I know Google is around the corner with the pixel fold phone. When that happens, you are going to see a huge pwrcentage of the Android phones being a fold variant. They may want to look into how they want the app to work on these devices. I do t know if they are aware of the aspect ratio issues with the cover screen, how flex mode works, the split windows, etc.

As far as the downloaded files sometimes not playing because of an external storage error, here is a a screen shot of the error and the log. Again, this is on a Z Fold 3 and has no SD slot.

1 - How are you getting to the screen where you cannot select anything? Was the device already in portrait and you just entered the library? I’m able to reproduce a similar effect if I scroll down to the very bottom of the library very fast. I need to scroll back up a little before I can select anything. Can you try scrolling the page a little and see if things become selectable then?

2 - The jump letters, yeah I can reproduce.

3 - I do see the error in your logs. The error you see is wrong. It’s actually an unknown error so it is showing the closest error message.

On the playback issue. Double checking your logs and Downloads info, it looks like those 3 episodes (and those 3 only) might not have actually Downloaded. Can you reproduce with any other Downloaded video?

So, the downloads, i can pinpoint what triggers it. I use PlayOn to record shows legally (before someone lectures me, lol) to the monitored Plex files. If I leave the house and it has to switch from wifi to data or if itbstarts on data and i lose data signal strength it will resume the download, but it almost always ends in a scenario where when i try to play them, it gives me the external storage error (or sometimes no internet error).

As far as the items in the menus befoming unselectable, i cant precisely pinpoint it, but it has to do with a combination of backing out of the plex video player and the screen orientation being changed (landscape to portrait and vice versa).

Do you want logs for either of these scenarios again?
