Would like to know when I can stop using Kodi for watching HDR content… It annoys me that Plex doesnt work with HDR by now…

I would love to get an update on this as well. I have a lifetime Plex Pass and 2 HTPCs in the house.

I agree. If the underlying media player they are using, which I believe is mpv, isn’t planning on supporting hdr, it might be time to switch to a different player.
I currently use VLC outside of Plex and play the files from a shared drive directly, but that bypasses all the reasons that I use Plex. Disappointing that this still isn’t supported.

Bumping to keep topic relevant and hope the developers can give us a timeline on this?
In the same boat.
Have a library of HDR movies and a HDR monitor to play them, but Plex for Windows still tone maps to SDR. I can’t use something like Kodi or MPC-BE with madVR since I use Plex’s Watch Together feature a lot.
