Really difficult to visit here at the moment with all the foreign language and sub-forums that I am not interested in showing.
Need to get the filters back.
If your suppliers are not forthcoming maybe you need to switch forum software
I set bookmarks to the sub-forums I use - long ago.
A work-around that works.
Apparently Plex and Vanilla are alike in that user opinion isn’t high on the list of things to be all that concerned about.

OK. I had not thought to use the bookmark feature but now I can only find a way to view bookmarks and not a way to set them. Where do you set a bookmark for a forum? Or is the bookmark feature also disabled unless you have set them previously?
Most of the time I can figure a reason for a move by Plex, although I often disagree, but I cannot figure any way this could benefit Vanilla which makes them even dumber than Plex because they alienate users without any benefit to themselves.

Totally different animal - and likely to be ‘improved’ (made useless) by Vanilla soon.
(I don’t immediately even see a way to ‘Bookmark’ a sub-forum - but bypass that action - 'cause AFAIK that’ll let you ‘bookmark’ a thread to receive a notice when a new reply is made - and you sure wouldn’t want that - but it’s under the ‘gear’ next to each thread if you need it)
The way I do it - in Chrome - is to grab the first little orange box and hover it over the second orange box to the right - at which point the extended list pops up - then I drop it right where I want it… boom… bookmark.
That does require you have the bookmarks bar enabled and if you don’t have an extended list just drop it on the bookmarks bar - then you can drag it and drop it in any order you like. If the supplied name is too long or too cryptic - right click - edit. You see my 3 Plex Forum links - no silliness at Vanilla to ruin my day.
… and if you ever wonder where I get all those answers from @OttoKerner to share with others… that’s it…
Even More Cool - The Chrome Browser on my phone syncs those bookmarks - tossing the 6 most used up on the initial window - and you’ll never guess what those are.

We are changing to another provider. more info to come later. lots of things to plan for it. sorry not much other info to share right now.
