Is it possible to have more than more than 20 active streams?

If you’re running your PMS on a server that’s strong enough with a sufficient network bandwidth (and internet upload speed – if this should include remote streams) – sure… why not :wink:

Limiting factors could be:

  • HDD reading speed / connection speed
  • network bandwidth (and internet upload speed)
  • probably worthwhile to aim for as much direct play as possible, avoiding transcoding to reduce the load on your CPU / GPU

For a more specific answer you’ll need to share some more details on your specific use case.

I have morer than enough of everything - Plex only allowes 20 streams at a time, so i’m seeeking a way around this?

More* that is.
In “transcoding” the max number is 20, can something be done about that, that’s my question:)

The max setting is Unlimited.

Look at the top of the list, above 1.
