Too Many Active Streams

Player Version#: 1.62.2.3451-fb8ac0ae

Player Version is for “Plex for Mac” but I have been having this issue on iOS, Web, Mac player, Roku, quite literally everywhere.

I’m not the owner/host of the server.

For the last 1.5 years I have been unable to stream ANYTHING off multiple Plex servers due to a “Too many active streams” error.

This error, as far as I can tell, is completely incorrect. I have logged out of every device. I have deleted apps off every device. I have closed every open stream I can find on my account. I have contacted the server hosts and asked them to reboot their servers. They have. I still get the error.

I need a fix. Please.

@acurry207 It’s up to the owner of the server to set how many streams you can have, maybe they’ve set it to zero? The only advice would be to talk to the owner and ask them about it and if need be if they would be willing to add additional streams for you. Though it might have been a case that you were using too much bandwidth on their server and that’s why they limited you in the first place.

Only the owner of the server can help you.

Unfortunately I’ve already contacted the owner, they’ve made all the changes they can, rebooted server, and cleared all open streams. It’s been a year and a half. At this point it’s a glitch in Plex’s system. There’s 100’s of posts with this same issue online. Needs to be addressed by Plex

@acurry207 The only setting that needs to be changed is the one below (any previous downloads are also counted as streams)
